The thunderstorm came just as the Young guys had predicted, a torrent of pressure from the MLADI that must have felt overwhelming at times, but when it was all over there was the proverbial golden sky of United Soccer Center lore, and the Mladi stood victorious.

The Old Guys played every moment of the 5 game series as if it was the last minute of the last game of football of their lives and somehow, with heroic defending, spectacular offence and a little fortune, the MLADI were triumphant.

I can go on and on about the blistering display that the MLADI put forth that chilly Tuesday evening, however in this article I would like to concentrate on the controversial coach Mile and dissecting the issues the Old guys had, and what can be done to correct them for the all important game 2.

It is no secret the Coach Mile is one of the most powerful men in Mali nogomet today. A controversial figure at the heart of match fixing, fake calls, and money scandals. Regardless of his questionable character what must he do to lead the STARI to an all important game 2 victory.

DROP THE MIND GAMES: Coach Mile is known for his use of mind games to try and get into his opponents heads and throw them of their game. A prime example was in Game 1 when he had one of his star players announce to the media that he was too ill to play. Only to announce 15 minutes prior to game time that he was healthy enough to play. Concentrate on the game.

THE INTRODUCTION OF DIRTY DAN FORLAN: The 2016/2017 over 35 player of the year missed out on game 1 due to some personal issues. He is available for selection this time around. Will Coach Mile call him up? Is he match fit after not playing for over 2 weeks? Can he be the spark the old guys were missing in game 1.

A SUPPOSEDLY HEALTHY RADMAN: The player claimed to be too ill to play game 1 and then reversed the decision in a blatant mind game attempt orchestrated by none other than Coach Mile. It is no secret that a healthy Radman can be a game changer and I feel that Coach Mile should concentrate on the players skills on the field rather than burdening him with mind games off the field.

FIX THE RELATIONSHIP WITH LORKO: It is no secret about the fallout between player and coach. Coach Mile very publicly criticized Lorko who we all know is an accomplished mali defender. If the old guys want a win he needs to mend this broken relationship and show that he still has faith in vetran player.

GIVE THE ICEMAN THE BALL: Robbie "The Iceman" Perkovic is a lethal striker, who when has service can punish opposing teams and strike fear into the most seasoned mali players. Coach Mile did not utilize him properly in Game 1 will this change in Game 2?

GIVE TWINKLE TOES NOVOSEL THE CAPTAINS ARMBAND : The man who has been tearing up the mali charts all season and front runner for the 2017/2018 Mali Championship. Twinkle Toes Novosel deserves the armband, he is the one the team will be looking towards for guidance in this crucial game and most likely be the spark they so drastically need.

BRING BACK PLAYERS FROM LOAN: I can not confirm, however I have been informed that Coach Mile was in contact with on loan player Marko Grubesic. He currently plays his mali in Montreal and coach mile has been debating to bring him back. In my opinion he would be a welcomed addition to the team adding heart, determination and much needed conditioning to this aging side.

Only time will tell what strategy coach Mile will use. He better get right tomorrow evening because it may be his last in charge of the side.
