Thanks to the internet, and it's widely available accessibility for people from all reaches of life and from all areas of the globe, not to mention Mark Zuckerberg's glorious invention, Facebook, it's easier than ever to find out who is doing what, where, why, and with whom.
Enter local community pages like JeffCo 411. Pages where anyone can post anything they want in the visitor section, BUT, the mysterious admin(s?), similar to the wizard hiding behind the curtain in The wizard of Oz, decide what makes it onto their main page and what doesn't.
This Facebook page specifically present itself as a information page for the small municipalities that make up Jefferson County Missouri but in fact it is more of a shmorgasborg of ridiculous complaints, heartwarming stories, interesting lost and found items, and surprisingly these things provide endless hours of humor and entertainment for Facebook users everywhere.
For those not from the United States, the posters and commenters on the Jeffco 411 Facebook page could be used as the perfect example of a true American redneck. Because within these posters and commoners there is an endless supply of uneducated statements, misspelled words, unfounded opinion taken as fact, blatant disrespect (for anyone and everyone), not to mention the fact that the vast majority of participants live at or below the national poverty level and many reside in mobile homes (aka trailers, hence the term "trailer trash").
People not only from all walks of life and location enjoy logging on to Facebook and checking Jeffco 411 daily for they're routine dose of absurd entertainment.

We may never know if the Facebook page Jeffco 411 is ran by some secretive person or persons to make the internet laugh and/or to get page views or if those are real people making real posts and real comments, but the real question should be, do we honestly care? Just the fact that Jeffco 411 is making the internet laugh makes the truth pretty much irrelevant, though some would say that it would be a shame if those really were redneck trailer trash people sharing their real life experiences.
