Golden State star forward Kevin Durant, has drawn many questions surrounding his future with the California basketball club. Durant will be an free agent after this season with the Warriors, and the popular opinion was that he would sign for the New York Knicks. However, there seems to have been a new stir of teams Kevin will consider besides the New York Knicks. Kevin has given a list to his agent containing a few different, unsuspected teams. Kevin’s list has seven teams he is considering, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat. According to Kevin Durant’s team there are other teams Kevin would chose over the New York Knicks. Durant believes him and the Knicks organization are not in the same direction as of right now. Kevin has also expressed he wants to go back home to Washington. However, where ever he goes to bring his talents he would like to compete right away for a NBA championship. He does not think the Wizards are capable with the roster they currently have. Kevin has had a strong recent desire to sign with The Dallas Mavericks. The Dallas Franchise’s direction really excites the 30 year old champion. Kevin has been quoted praising the Dallas rookie Luka Doncic, saying “He’s polished. He’s skilled. You can tell that he played professional basketball already and they’ve got a great guy in him to lead this franchise in the future. Him and Dennis Smith play well together.” Dallas has also added the young Latvian star Kristaps Porzingis, who Durant would love to play along side. The Miami Heat were also mentioned on Durant’s list. The south beach team has been on Durant’s wishlist for awhile even before he signed for Golden State. The pair have had numerous meetings together lasting hours in negotiations over the years. The Miami Heat even brought the same traveling party that helped sign Lebron James in 2010. However, it seems like the Heat’s prayers for Durant will not be answered this free agency because they don’t have a real direction as a mid tier NBa franchise.
